Requirements:
-Recipients must remain a declared Engineering Technology major in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology for the Fall 2010 semester.
-Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 About the
Eligibility:
-Candidate must be admitted to NIU’s College of Engineering and Engineering Technology for the Fall 2010 semester as either a:
a) First semester freshmen, possessing a minimum grade point average of 3.00/4.00
b) OR, a transfer student, possessing a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00/4.00 a the secondary level and in undergraduate coursework completed prior to transferring to Northern Illinois University.
-Candidates must be a declared major in Engineering Technology.
The Award:
The scholarship is valued at $1,000 for one academic year to be administered Fall 2010 and is not renewable. The award may be applied to tuition, enrollment and course-related fees, or required bookstore charges assessed to the student’s university account. However, in no event shall the award exceed the “cost of education” as determined by the Student Financial Aid Office. Application deadline: application must be postmarked or hand delivered by 4:30 pm on February 15,
2010.
