2010 Electrical & Electronic Engineering Scholarships from TECT
To support local industry by providing an incentive for local students to enter the fields of study in
Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Each scholarship is valued at $2,000. Scholarship funds are applied towards programme fees. Up to
THREE scholarships in the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Level 3 programme; and up to
THREE scholarships in the Certificate in Electronic Engineering Level 3 programme will be available.
Eligibility
These scholarships are open to New Zealand citizens/permanent residents residing in the Bay of Plenty and intending to enroll in the following programmes:
• National Certificate Electrical Engineering Level 3, or the
• Certificate in Electronic Engineering Level 3.
• Applicants must have achieved the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Level 2.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must provide evidence against the following criteria:
• Safety: Experience with electrical and/or electronic equipment, demonstrating safe working behaviour
• Teamwork & Community Involvement: Applicant works with other students in ways which assist them to achieve understanding of Electrical/Electronic concepts; and/or applicants are involved in community based activities.
Deadline: The final date for applications will be Friday 30 May 2010.
