Kathy Griffin’s Dance win The Creative Arts Emmy Awards

After repeating with her second consecutive Outstanding Reality Program Emmy victory for My Life on the D-List, Kathy Griffin took the podium with many anticipating a follow-up to her controversial 2007 acceptance speech.

Backstage, Griffin told reporters that she had toned down her speech for fear of jeopardizing her role as an award presenter at next week’s main primetime ceremony, according to The Times.

After being shut out at the ceremonies in 2007, Dancing with the Star’s production teams won two awards this year — Outstanding Makeup for a Multi-Camera Series or a Special (non-prosthetic) for the the fifth season’s third episode and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Series for the fifth season’s second episode.
