Phd Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Scholarship in Australia
The Scholarship is open to competition by New Zealand BE graduates in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering who have strong scholastic records and who intend to study for the PhD degree and to undertake research in an area related to manufacturing.
Academic merit, research potential, evidence of leadership and skills in managing people and the proposed area of research will be considered in making the selection.
Tenure: Up to three years. In addition each scholar will receive a travelling grant of $7,000 once during the tenure of the Scholarship to enable him or her, with the assistance of Fisher and Paykel Limited to visit the USA or Japan, or to such other country as may be agreed to by the Selection Committee, to study advanced manufacturing relevant to the research being undertaken.
How do students apply?
Applications must be submitted to the Scholarships Office, The University of Auckland, on an approved application form not later than 31 March in the year of the award. Application forms are avilable from the Scholarships Office or the Administration Office of the Faculty of Engineering.
