Bachelor Electrical Design/Controls Engineer Jobs at Mason
Urgently required Electrical Design/Controls Engineer employee to Perform engineering functions described below in support of Automated Systems overall business and business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Generate the electrical design packages for custom high speed label applicators and their associated material handling controls.
· Create detailed panel enclosure, layout drawings, and schematics using AutoCad 2000 LT.
· Create the corresponding bills of material for the electrical cabinets, power distribution, and related field control devices and sensors.
· Generate custom programming for PLC’s, HMI’s, Stepper/Servo Drives, and related Motion Controllers.
· Provide technical and assembly support to all manufacturing and service personnel.
· Create all necessary technical documentation for the purpose of customer manuals and ASD records.
· Provide installation and startup assistance at customer site if required.
Relationships:
Internal: All ASD personnel.
External: Customers, Vendors/Suppliers, Internal personnel.
Personal Requirements:
· Minimum of an Associate Degree in electrical engineering technology, (BS preferred).
· Minimum of (5) years experience programming PLC’s, HMI’s, Stepper/Servo Drives, and related Motion Controllers. (Allen Bradley ControLogix™/SLC™/Micrologix™/PanelView™ RS-Logix™ 500/5000, RS-Linx™, RS-SQL™and Aromat hardware and software experience a plus.)
· Communications using serial (RS-232/422/485), Modbus/Profibus, and Ethernet.
· Minimum (5) years experience with material handling/motion controls and power distribution.
· NEC/IEC & CE knowledge and application a plus.
· Capable of producing panel layouts and schematics using AutoCad 2000 LT
· RFID / Savant Systems or basic Database manipulation experience a definite plus.
· Strong interpersonal communications skills both written and verbal.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Dedicated to quality performance in all aspects of the job.
· Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding business environment.
· Light travel expected.
